About Therapy

1607606575My Approach

I approach therapy with warmth and respect for the experience of every individual. My background is in systems and humanistic psychology. I believe healing is a integrative process involving emotional, cognitive, somatic, social and spiritual aspects.

It’s my goal to empower others by facilitating a non-shaming space to process painful feelings in order to access joy, find greater self-acceptance and compassion, have close and meaningful relationships, tap into natural wisdom, and feel more whole.

Because this is such personal and vulnerable work, one of the most important contributing factors to a positive therapeutic outcome is the quality of our relationship. This is why I offer a consultation before scheduling an appointment so that we can talk about whether this feels like the right fit for you and your needs.

I look forward to talking with you!

More About Me

Before I became a therapist, I was an art student and yoga teacher. My time spent working in a community mental health setting and family reconciliation services- as well as my own struggles with anxiety and depression- led me to study trauma in more depth. I was trained in EMDR early on in my career and adopted this approach for trauma healing. Since then, I have learned an eclectic mix of modalities that I understand both a provider and as a person who’s received them for myself, including many contemplative and meditative practices.

I love my job and when I’m not working, I’m probably hanging out with loved ones, visiting some of the beautiful places the PNW has to offer, writing, learning to dance, or playing with my spunky cat Star.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
