How long is a session and what is your rate?
My private pay rate for a psychotherapy session is $180. Sessions are 55 minutes long.
I can provide a superbill (documentation for you to submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement, based on your plan’s out of network benefits). If you don’t have out-of-network benefits and/or need financial assistance, please ask about my sliding scale spots.
I can bill your insurance if you have: Premera, First Choice, Regence, or Medicare.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I’m in network with Premera, Regence, First Choice, and Medicare.
If I don’t accept your insurance, I can provide a superbill (a receipt with the billing codes your insurance needs to reimburse part of the session cost). Many of my clients claim on their OON benefits in this way.
What is a free initial consultation?
Therapy can be vulnerable and finding the right fit is important. For this reason, I offer a complimentary phone or Zoom call to help you decide if I’m the right fit for your needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you give me at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel a session, or you may be responsible for the session fee.
Can I ask you personal questions?
Yes, ask me anything you’d like! So long as your session doesn’t become focused on me. I might not answer every question, but this is a relationship and I’m happy to answer questions that help you feel more comfortable and get to know me a little better.
What are your pronouns?
My pronouns are she/her. I offer an affirming, inclusive therapy space for people of all genders and sexual orientations.
Do you work with neurodivergent individuals?
Yes, I offer neuro-affirmative therapy that honors neurodiversity and individual differences. I can provide a referral to a specialist for a comprehensives diagnostic evaluation when that’s helpful.
How long have you been in practice?
I’ve been a therapist for about fourteen years. I spent a few years working in inpatient and community mental health settings before opening my practice in 2016.
If I tell you I have suicidal thoughts, will I be committed?
No, you will not be involuntarily detained for having suicidal thoughts. It’s important that you have a safe space to talk about them so that you can receive the support you need.
If you’re in crisis and need help immediately, please dial 988 to reach the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. This service is available 24/7.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Yes, it’s what inspired me to become a therapist!
